2024-2025 For the Love Of Jewell Scholarship Application
Way 2 Love Inc. is happy to announce, it's 3rd annual " For the Love of Jewell Scholarship" fund for our unhoused students in West Contra Costa Unified School District.
This fund seeks to provide 10 unhoused WCCUSD students with scholarships, that will go towards school uniforms, clothes, and school supplies. Our mission is to not only provide financial support, but a network of mentors for aspiring young scholars.
Students that are selected that are in the 12th going into 2024-2025 school year, will receive scholarships to help with college applications or enrollment cost for entrepreneurship programs and/or supplies.
Thank you for your interest in being a recipient for the above scholarship. Below are the requirements for participation in the application process.
Teachers of Peres Elementary please send an email with your name, grade that you teach and share why you choose this line of work.
Applicant must write a two paragraph response to ONE of the below questions. Please note, a paragraph is 3-5 complete sentences. Please only answer one question. Put N/A in the box of the question that you DO NOT wish to answer.
The application period is February 14th - April 20th ,2024. Recipients will be notified no later than
June 1st, 2024.
Spaces are limited, so apply as quickly as possible.

What We ProvideWe provide housing support to residents residing at the Castro Encampment in Richmond CA. We provide support and hot meals throughout the month to the homeless living in the Contra Costa County Area. We also provide basic life necessities such as but not limited to: Blankets | Socks | Tents | Hats | Haircuts | Showers | Water | Hygiene Items | Hotel Vouchers

Our HistoryVanessa Calloway, founder of Way to Love Inc, has been a community staple for over a decade. Historically uplifting and feeding and caring for the homeless community, battered women and at-promise youth. Ms. Calloway previously used her own resources, time, energy, and talents to love on the homeless community monthly with food, clothing, toiletries, tents, and blankets, but most importantly with genuine love.
